Village Automotive Group Job Description
SUMMARY
Assists the parts & service department personnel by providing fast and efficient service in picking up, delivering, filling orders & pulling parts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*1. Picks up, delivers, or ships parts damage free to technicians or designated accounts when instructed
by the parts or service departments.
2. Performs the pulling or filling of parts orders.
3. Organize and post schedule of deliveries to maximize efficiency.
4. Calls dealership to check for additional deliveries and pick-up within area.
5. Ensures that areas of the parts department are clean and properly stocked.
*6. Inspects shipment at loading and unloading for damage and quantity; make appropriate notations on
delivery receipt.
*7. Ensures parts vehicles are clean, safe and maintained in an operable condition.
*8. Obeys all posted speed limits and motorized vehicle regulations and laws.
9. Provide high level of customer service.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. No prior experience or training.
2. Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
3. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
4. Ability to understand and carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
5. Forklift certification may be required.
6. Valid Driver's License, acceptable driving license & at least 18 years of age required to drive company
or customer vehicles.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Regularly required to talk, hear, reach with hands and arms, use hands to finger, handle, & feel;
frequently required to stand and sit; & occasionally required to walk, climb, kneel & crouch.
2. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
3. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
4. Must be
able to work a predictable and consistent work schedule as determined
by management and business needs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
1. Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals, moving mechanical
parts and outside weather conditions.
2. The
noise level in the
work environment is usually moderate.
