SUMMARY

Maintains vehicle purchase process and other store support functions as requested.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Process

1. Processing of the billing procedures of vehicles.

2. Processes all new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled.

3. Prepares tax and title documents (i.e. luxury, and sales and lease tax).

4. Submits all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles and orders duplicate titles and

    special  plates.

5. Checks all vouchers and obtains appropriate payment approval and prepares accounts payable checks.

6. Review and correct service and parts edits.

7. Performs and reconciles vehicle and physical inventories.

 

Department/Team

1. Fills in for other administrative positions (i.e. mail, order supplies, etc.) as needed and directed by  

    management.

2. Assists with related special projects as required.

3. Provide backup support to front desk as needed.

 

Housekeeping

1. Maintains a professional appearance and neat work area.


Performs other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus at least one year automotive billing and/or

    related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Proficient in 10-key and keyboarding skills; Office, Word and Excel.  Prefer experience working with CVR;

    ADP DMS system or related; answering multi-line phones and greeting customers. 

3.  Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and computer skills.

4.  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions,  

     percentages, area, circumference, and volume. 

5.  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

6.  Valid Driver's License, acceptable driving record and at least age 18 years of age required to drive   

      company or customer vehicles. 

7.   Must be able to work a consistent and predictable schedule as required by management and business

conditions.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

1. Regularly required to talk, hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms;    

    frequently required to sit; and occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch.

2. Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

3. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,   

    peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
4. Must be able to work a consistent and predictable work scheudle as determined by managment and business needs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

1. Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or

    airborne particles. 

2. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
