Village Automotive Group Job Description
SUMMARY
Processes
car deals. Verifies costs for the
accounting department
and handles the legal transfer of documents for the Department of Motor
Vehicles.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Process
1. Processes all pre owned vehicles for registration in the state in which they are to be titled.
Submits all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles and orders duplicate titles
and special plates.
2. Processing of the billing procedures of vehicles. Prepares payoff checks for pre owned vehicles
and trade-ins.
3. Receipts all monies received from vehicle sales and lease buy outs, checks for money due and provides
drafts for dealer signature.
4. Posts vehicle sales and purchases.
6. Balances/reviews pre owned schedules weekly and monthly for cash sales; one pay account; pre owned
inventory and warranty; pre owned sales tax and title/license and all sales aftermarket products.
7. Processes/registers all pre owned vehicle warranties and extended service contracts schedules, maintaining log of all contracts processed and mailed.
Housekeeping
1.
Maintains a professional
appearance and a neat work area.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience
and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Proficient in 10-key and keyboarding skills.
3. Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and computer skills.
4. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions,
percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
5. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
6. Valid Driver's License, acceptable driving record and at least age 18 years of age required to drive
company or customer vehicles.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Regularly required to talk, hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms;
frequently required to sit; and occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch.
2. Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
3. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
4. Must be able to work a consistent and predictable schedule as determined by management and business
needs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
1. Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or
airborne particles.
2. The
noise level in the
work environment is usually moderate.
